Dry Distemper :  is slightly superior to lime colors as they are based on lime, borax, casien in suitable proportion. Clean the surface by wire brush or sand paper of all scales, loose powder etc. Prepare the distemper solution as per the instructions of the manufacturer. Apply two three coats as required. Available in pleasant & bright shades.

Oil Bound Distemper : Based on processed drying oil emulsion is available in the market. Generally known as OBD. Is washable, stays for two three years, if walls are good, free of seepage, fungus etc.

Application : Interiors walls only.

Plastic Emulsion Paint : Based on special emulsion, they have advantage over OBD. Faster drying, resistance to stains, alkali and is easily washable. Longer  life than OBD.

Acrylic Emulsion : Developed in recent past. These emulsions are gaining popularity over other wall paints. Having excellent interior & exterior durability, long life, available in glossy, semi glossy & matt finish in hundreds of shades. Companies are offering colour matching to your choice by various colors matching centers opened at different outlets.

Surface preparation is same as for other wall paints. Like the wall should be clean, free of loose scales, seepage, all types of holes blocked & surface is smooth.
Mode of application : Brush, Roller.
Available Brands : Appcolite, Dulux , Royale, Excel, Weather shield etc.

Cement Paint :  Based on white cement. It is  available in number of shades and used for exterior walls only.

Preparation of wall : Should be clean, free of dust, scales, uneven surface.
Apply ample water on walls to be painted. Apply paint by brush, let it dry over night. Next day again sprinkle lot of water. Apply second coat. Let it set

over night & next day again sprinkle water over it. The more you use water, the much better, longer durability you get, because being a cement based paint it needs more wetting by water for proper setting.
